I don’t think my kids know about handkerchiefs or how to use them.
When you can not find a paper towel or hand dryer in a public restroom, what do you do??? Do you open the restroom door with your wet hands? In Japan, preschool and elementary schoolchildren are required to have a handkerchief all the time (see post #78). It’s considered an essential school supply. Most Japanese kids know how to use a handkerchief, and they write their name on theirs so it won’t get lost.

This post will help you to become better acquainted with your handkerchief. We will explore ways your kids can use one, beyond merely wiping their wet hands.
